ARTS CENTER OF SARASOTA

Arts Center Sarasota tonight. Great show. I told all who would listen about my encounter with Dan who is the man in my photograph.

Sarasota is special to me because as a toddler I lived on the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL. My father taught painting, drawing and art history and my mother was a den-mother.

I remember going to art classes at the Arts Center as a child. The center is on prime real estate on Sarasota Bay. There used to be a large circular driveway made of crushed shells and I searched for sharks teeth which I would occasionally find. Now the shelled driveway has been expanded into a large concrete parking lot. However, the elevation of the building is still as I remember.
